Robert Himmel

Robert Himmel is Head of North America Commercial & Industrial at Gordon Brothers, LLC. Robert is responsible for the investment efforts of the firm’s commercial and industrial practice. He leads an experienced team that partners with companies and their investors, lenders, and advisors to help them transform their businesses within the consumer products and manufacturing segments.

Robert has over 20 years of experience investing within the manufacturing, consumer products, and industrial sectors, prior to which he had over 15 years of experience in the textile industry.

Before joining Gordon Brothers, Robert was Division President at Malden Mills Inc., where he also served as General Manager of the company’s North American Polartec® business. Preceding that, he was the Corporate Vice President of Product Development and Marketing at Guilford Mills, now part of Lear Corporation.

Robert is currently a board member at Coby Electronics and Jewish Vocational Services Inc. He is a former member of the Turnaround Management Association’s board of trustees, and the former vice president of the Knitted Textile Association’s board of directors. He earned his B.A. from Stony Brook University.
